Considering going camping this summer? If you’re a fan of the great outdoors then there’s no question why you should go. If you’re not looking to spend a ton of money this summer but still want to go on vacation, camping is a great way to still have fun with your friends and do something that’s budget friendly.

To make sure you’re making the most of your camping trip with your family and friends, the Flashnotes.com team complied a list of our top 10 activities that we considered a must when going camping.

Check out our top 10 camping activities:

  1. Hiking - One of the staples to camping is probably hiking. Be sure to wear the appropriate gear and explore nature at it’s finest.
  2. Canoeing/Kayaking - If you’re near a body of water and the conditions are safe, you should definitely take the opportunity to get on the water. Not only is it a great workout but it doesn’t require much technical know-how to get started.
  3. Twister - Who doesn’t love a game of Twister? It’s a classic crowd pleaser that can still be purchased at places like Walmart or Target for less than $15.00.
  4. Balloon Lift - The object of the game is to pick the balloon up, then pop it between the two people, but without using any hands! The first team to pop their balloon wins. Teams that use their hands are eliminated.
  5. Capture the Flag - Two teams each have a flag and the object of the game is to capture the other team’s flag, located at the team’s “base,” and bring it safely back to their own base.
  6. Ultimate Frisbee - Know the rules of ultimate frisbee? All you need is some friends willing to play and an open area. It’s a great non-contact sport that can give you a great workout.
  7. Scavenger Hunt - To keep everyone entertained, there’s nothing like a scavenger hunt. Need some tips of how to create your own scavenger hunt? Check out Scavengerhunt.org for some tips.
  8. Campfire - Yet another camping staple. Collect the firewood, build the fire and enjoy the warmth of not only the fire but everyone around the fire.
  9. Geocaching - This is a fun treasure hunt you can do almost anywhere you go, all over the world. The most well-known site for geocaching information is Geocaching.com. You can register for a free account, pop in your zip code or coordinates where you will be camping and see how many caches are hidden in your area!
  10. Bicycling - Not only is it a great way to explore beyond the camp grounds but you can also cover more ground with this option.
