Studying effectively is super important, but the question is, are you studying effectively? If not, what ways can you go about grasping the material better? With some basic and creative study methods, you can start learning and remembering new concepts in no time!

Incentivize your studying. Rewarding yourself after a test is great, but sometimes you need something more to keep you going. Immediate gratification is they key. For example, for every chapter you read, reward yourself with your episode of your favorite show on Netflix.
Flashcards. This method remains one of the best tools for memorizing information. Simply write the question on one side on an index card and the answer on the opposite side and test yourself repeatedly.
Type or rewrite your notes by hand. Rewriting your notes in general is a great way to retain information. Keep in mind that repetition is great for memorization.
Put some humor into it. When connecting material to something positive or funny, you have a better chance of relaxing and remembering all those facts and figures. Read facts with a funny emphasis or correlate the event of subject with something funny.
Teach others. Find someone who needs help with the material or actually has an interest in the learning the concepts and teach them the content. Teaching others is a great way to test your knowledge about the subject and only are you doing yourself the favor, but you’re also helping them out!
